Según ha informado la popular red social a través de una nota de prensa, estos cambios se introducen ante la petición generalizada de los usuarios de incluir la función “¿Quién puede verlo?”, que permita, de forma clara, intuitiva y cada vez que se añada una publicación, cuáles de los otros usuarios de la red (amigos y no amigos) podrán acceder a ese contenido.

En la práctica, este cambio supone que los controles de configuración estén más visibles, accesibles y presentes en todo momento para los usuarios, no solo cuando acceden a la página de configuración de la privacidad.
Con estos cambios, cada información que aparezca en el perfil, desde la ciudad de nacimiento hasta las relaciones familiares, irá acompañada por un menú desplegable que permitirá decidir con quién se comparte esa información: solo con amigos, solo para el usuario, si es pública o si el internauta prefiere concretar aún más con quién lo comparte.
